Andrew Kaye, D.V.M.

Dr. Kaye graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1989. In 1995 Dr. Kaye joined the team at Walker Road Animal Hospital and since has been providing exceptional emergency care as well as ultrasonography. In his spare time he enjoys running and in addition to finishing multiple marathons, he is a Boston Marathon Finisher. Dr. Kaye also enjoys spending time with his family including a French Bulldog named Jean Luc.

Adam DeLuca, D.V.M.

Dr. DeLuca has been interested in veterinary medicine since he was ten years old and spent time on his grandparents’ farms in Amherstburg and LaSalle. He graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in 1993, and has worked in Southwestern Ontario since then. Initially engaged in farm practice, his focus has gradually shifted to mixed practice. In 1997 Dr. DeLuca and his family moved back to the Windsor area and have been here since. In 2000 Dr. DeLuca joined the staff at Walker Road Animal Hospital full-time. As well as working at Walker Road, he provided locum relief work for other hospitals in the area. Since 2007 Dr. DeLuca has limited his locum work to devote more time to Walker Road as it became a 24 hour hospital. He still provides occasional locum and farm ambulatory services, in addition to endoscopy services for companion animals at Walker Road Animal hospital. Dr. DeLuca and his wife have three children and they love their dog Lego, a female black Lab born in 2008. In his spare time Dr. Deluca enjoys music, family time, on-line gaming with his children, and renovating their old house.

Charanpal Sekhon, D.V.M.

Dr. Charanpal Sekhon has always enjoyed the company of animals and cannot remember a time when his family did not include at least one pet. Dr. Sekhon has been a veterinarian since 1991. He attended a reputed school of veterinary medicine in India for both graduate and post-graduate studies in veterinary medicine. He is always trying to increase his knowledge and abilities and has taken advanced training in soft tissue surgery, including kidney transplantation and orthopedic surgery. Dr. Sekhon likes the challenges of diagnosing and treating illnesses but what he most enjoys is helping to maintain the health and longevity of our animal companions. In addition to his wife, who is also a veterinarian, he has two wonderful children and two beautiful cats named Jinx and Jazzie. In his spare time Dr. Sekhon enjoys outdoor activities and sports.

Leanne Horsman, D.V.M.

Ever since working as a kennel attendant in grade 11, Dr. Leanne Horsman has wanted to be a veterinarian. She went on to graduate as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph. She started her career in 2006 working at a progressive veterinary hospital in Toronto, training with two board certified avian veterinarians. In 2010 Dr. Horsman joined the team at Walker Road Animal Hospital as both a daytime and emergency practitioner. Dr. Horsman enjoys emergency medicine and surgery and has a special interest in both avian and small mammal medicine. When not at Walker Road Animal Hospital, Dr. Horsman enjoys scuba diving, swimming, boating and spending time with her husband, their cats Maxwell and Simba, rabbits Widget and Minnie, their snake Kaa and their parrot Beaker, and their Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Reason.

Natalie Jackson, Office Manager, Veterinary Technician

Natalie graduated from the Veterinary Technician Program at St. Clair College in 2001 and began her career as a Veterinary Technician at Walker Road Animal Hospital that same year. She has a special interest in emergency medicine but also has been enjoying her time as office manager the past few years. Natalie has also worked for the University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus as a part-time instructor for the Veterinary Medical Office Administration and Veterinary Technician Program. In her spare time she especially enjoys cycling and running and has currently finished two marathons. Natalie also enjoys spending time with her family and has two cats Frank and Beans, and three small birds Gary and Fish and Chips.

Allyson Carrick, Veterinary Receptionist

Allyson graduated from the Veterinary Medical Office Administration Program at the University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus in 2005. She started her career at a veterinary hospital in Owen Sound then moved to Windsor in 2009 and joined the Walker Road Animal Hospital Team. Allyson has three fantastic cats Little Miss Boo, Little T, and James. In her spare time she enjoys Zumba fitness, traveling, walking her dad's goldendoodle Zowie, reading, spending time with her boyfriend and family, and snuggling her little kitties.

Kaitlyn Renaud, Veterinary Technician

Kaitlyn began at Walker Road Animal Hospital as a grade 12 high school co-op student. In 2008, shortly after graduating high school, she joined the Walker Road team to work as a full-time receptionist. In 2009 Kaitlyn enrolled in the Veterinary Technician Program at St. Clair College and graduated in June 2011. In her spare time she enjoys playing soccer and running. Kaitlyn has a cat named Booter, two dogs Ringo and Molly and a rat named Joyce.

Amanda Gauthier, Registered Veterinary Technician

Amanda has always wanted to work with animals, but drawn to be involved in the arts, Amanda moved to London, Ontario and completed the 2 year photography course at Fanshawe College. After working for herself, a few local photographers, and Black’s Photography for a few years, Amanda decided to enroll in the veterinary technician program at St. Clair College. She graduated in 2008 and joined the team at Walker Road Animal Hospital part-time before graduation and became a full-time team member shortly after. Amanda has three cats named Jade, Alley Cat and Marty and a little white fluffy dog named Peanut. She still enjoys photography and takes the occasional job when available. Also, in her spare time Amanda enjoys running, and more recently, yoga.

Marilyn Stracke, Veterinary Technician

Marilyn graduated from the Veterinary Technician Program at St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario in 2003 and joined the Walker Road Animal Hospital Medical Team in February of 2009. When Marilyn is not at the hospital caring for your pets, she is enjoying outdoor activities such as biking, snowboarding and walking her favorite dog Barney. She also has two other furry companion’s named Kitty and Kitten. Marilyn is very proud and enjoys being a team member at Walker Road Animal Hospital and is looking forward to meeting you and your pet(s) soon!

Sam Couvillon, Registered Veterinary Technician

Sam has been working in the Veterinary field since 2005 where she started out as a Kennel Attendant and Receptionist at various Animal Hospitals around Windsor. Sam graduated from the Veterinary Technician Program at St. Clair College and joined the Walker Road family a month later. She has always had a love for animals. Sam was consistently surrounded by multiple pets throughout her childhood. Since adopting her first dog she has cared for all kinds of critters including dogs, cats, fish, birds, pocket pets and exotics. Sam lives with her very animal friendly boyfriend, Chris and they currently share their home with a Great Dane named Duke, Six Miniature Dachshunds named Kiwi, Penelope, Izzy, Fudge, Boots and Zoey. As well as four cats named Buddha, Ping Ping, Simon and Binks. If you thought that was crazy she also has a ferret, chinchilla, two rabbits, a parrot and three tanks of fish. When Sam is not adopting every stray in her path, she enjoys travelling, music, scrapbooking, photography, reading and spending time with friends and family.

Katherine Bryant, Veterinary Technician

Katherine graduated as a Veterinary Technician in 2000 from the University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus. After working at an emergency veterinary hospital in Toronto she returned to Essex County and joined the Walker Road Animal Hospital Team in 2003. Katherine is a full-time instructor for the Veterinary Office Administration Program at the University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus and works at Walker Road part-time. She lives with her daughter, her two dogs Raven and Polo, her four cats Skinner, Agnes, Lazarus and Kramer, a turtle and many fish.
